Albert Jean Wilhelm Gianini 1876-1937
A painter and engraver of portraits and landscapes, Gianini was born in Germany in Frankfurt in 1876.
He studied under Wilhelm Trübner and H. Blier at the Städelsches Kunstinstitut, and in 1900 exhibited two works at the Second Exhibition of the Best Artists of Frankfurt.
From 1900 to 1903, he continued his training at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, before returning to Germany. In 1904, he settled again in Frankfurt, where he maintained a studio from 1914 onward. In 1933, he also became a member of the Jewish Cultural Association of Frankfurt. He died in Frankfurt in 1937.
Some of his works have appeared at auction in Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, and Switzerland.
